Using the archives

The Folklore Archives and Literary Archives of the Finnish Literature Society are open to all and the materials they contain are primarily freely accessible for researchers. Original materials can be examined in the reading rooms, but may not be removed from the premises. Other archives, libraries and museums can order microfilms on interlibrary loan. It is possible to receive copies of microfilms and materials that are in good condition on payment of a fee. Material used for publishing always requires permission from the archive and material subject to copyright needs the permission of the owner of the rights.
